Veterinary medicine is only offered at a few universities in Canada. For students in Western Canada, the place to go is the University of Saskatchewan. Before being accepted into the program, you must complete 2 or 3 years of pre-vet study at a university or college. High marks are important, as there is great demand to get into veterinarian programs ... it's a satisfying and very well paid career, although a demanding one.
