Celebrate Alberta's native heritage in style ... build a tipi right in your classroom! Students in Mrs. Golinowski's Grade 3/4 class did just that, and the spectacular result was definitely worth the effort!
The frame was made from donated tent poles and a little duct tape. Walls were constructed from simple brown butcher paper, and were decorated appropriately.
Students created the dwelling while they were learning about early life in Alberta.

Skins, furs, and various student-created items will decorate the walls and floor when it's finished.

The perfect spot for telling stories about Alberta's earliest inhabitants, and examining their artifacts!
