Introducing Translations

Turn the graph on. The object (the brown dot) is being moved, or translated, according to the direction given by the translation vector (the arrow). It will move to where the blue dot is located.
Click the 'Mode' button. Drag the arrow somewhere else, and change its length. This arrow is the translation vector, and is telling you where the brown dot will move to.
Click on 'Mode' again to turn it off, and move the brown dot around. Notice how the blue image dot is at a different place, exactly where it should be according to what your new translation vector looks like.
The translation vector controls how the brown dot will move.
