Do you really know? |
|
Actually, you should have answered 'no' to the above questions, because you hardly ever see yourself the way you actually look!
O.K., you see yourself in the mirror every morning. But have you ever noticed that when you see yourself in a photograph or a home video, you look 'stupid'?? There's a reason! Read on... With a little help from CJ, we're going to explain why! |

Here's a fairly normal face. Nothing strange about it at all. This is what you see when you look at CJ. But what does CJ see when he looks in the mirror? Can you see the difference? Here they are side-by-side so you can examine them more closely... |

Now the difference should be obvious. The image on the right is a mirror image of CJ. It's what CJ (and nobody else) sees whenever he looks in a mirror. Since that's how CJ sees himself 99% of the time, the picture on the right will look normal to him! He will think the picture on the left looks strange. Since the left picture is what we see, and a real photograph, any time CJ sees his picture, (as a photo or in a video), it will look a little strange to him. Of course, this is true for everyone, not just CJ. You too must have noticed that photos of you never seem to look exactly like what you think you should look like. Now let's look at why this happens. |
