So you think you have mouse problems? In Japan, which is a small island and very crowded, there's just no putting up with mice and rats at all! They'll do anything to get rid of the little pests. Their latest invention is a central vacuum system for mice! A system of pneumatic tubes, just like a central vacuum cleaning system, sucks up inquisitive rodents... |

Mice and rats venture into small doorways in the system, attracted by powdered bait. When they enter, their body heat activates a sensor which slams the door shut behind them and turns on the vacuum. The rodents get whisked through the tubes by a strong airflow, and are eventually deposited into containers where they are frozen solid. (No messy corpses!) |
