 3D Grizzly Hunt is a fun little hunting game. You can go after grizzlies in Alaska, Alberta, the Yukon ... or stalk maneaters at night. You have a choice of several rifles, a handgun, or a crossbow, and can choose to hunt with a dog, camouflage, and bait. The game comes with an album program that lets you keep photos of your successful hunts, and both programs will install completely, so you won't need the CD after everything is set up.  The graphics aren't first rate ... once you've played Carnivores 2, nothing can equal that experience ... but the game is definitely playable, at least until you've got all the possible trophy animals you can. Although you can hunt with a dog, the dog you get seems to be suffering from rigor mortis. (No, you can't shoot your dog ... we tried!) You'll need him, though, to help find the bears. It may be possible to kill the maneater with the pistol, but we weren't successful. And the sound effects when the bear rips you apart are quite satisfying! This may not be a great game, but for just 20 Prize Points, it's a real bargain! |
