Jackie tells us:
"The photos were judged equally on the following criteria: composition, focus, lighting and creativity. Since all the entries in this photography competition had a great range of subjects and styles used, she found it difficult to choose a winner and spent quite a lot of time thinking about the entries. Congratulations to all who entered!"
First Place: “Fire Hall Visit” by Allison Ansorger
This candid shot of a school activity was taken with an interesting angle creating focus clearly on the subjects, as well as use of great shapes to create an overall exceptional image. Nice work!
Second Place: “Science Class” by Darren Phelps
This photo was selected for the creativity which enhanced the photo’s focus on the experiment with the direct focus being on the cup, and indirect with the boys looking at the cup. Creative arrangement!
Honorable Mention: "Dawn at Whispering Pines" by Bill Willis
The colours, perspective, and shape of this photograph made it a beautiful entry!
