Joanna (in Sweden) wrote to Christina here in Worsley. She taught her some words in Swedish: Hej =Hi julkalappar = presents Hus = House Julgran = Christmas tree Vår = Spring Katt= Cat Joanna also told us: 'In Sweden it was raining all summer , but usually we have hot summers and cold winters. Right now there's lots of snow. In Sweden we have our Christmas day on the 24th of December; that's when we open our presents'. |
