Swedish Friends
at Adolfsberg School

Several students at Adolfsberg School corresponded directly with our '98-99 Grade 4/5/6 students. Robin (at left) in Adolfsberg School wrote to Laurie.

Joanna (in Sweden) wrote to Christina here in Worsley. She taught her some words in Swedish:
Hej =Hi Hejdå= Good bye
julkalappar = presents Jul = Christmas
Hus = House Sommar = Summer
Julgran = Christmas treeVinter = Winter
Vår = SpringHöst = Autumn
Katt= CatHund= Dog

Joanna also told us: 'In Sweden it was raining all summer , but usually we have hot summers and cold winters. Right now there's lots of snow. In Sweden we have our Christmas day on the 24th of December; that's when we open our presents'.
