Mumbai (formerly Bombay), is the largest city in India, and a major port and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the country. Once the headquarters of the English East India Company, Mumbai is now a transportation and shipping hub, and the center for several important industries, including the Indian motion-picture industry, and responsible for half of India's foreign trade.
